In a bid to preserve and celebrate the Danish heritage, the village constructed architectural gems, such as the iconic Atterdag College, which was erected in 1914.

Just a short stroll away, there are several delightful bakeries to choose from. When visiting Solvang, it’s an absolute must to indulge in the delectable Danish pastries and cuisine that the area is famous for. You won’t want to miss the opportunity to savor the culinary delights offered at establishments such as Bit O’ Denmark and Red Viking Restaurant, both of which are charming Danish restaurants nestled within the village.

In addition to the delectable array of cuisines, Solvang offers a diverse range of museums worth exploring.

If you choose to visit in September, you can partake in the lively Solvang Danish Days celebration. This event features a vibrant parade showcasing Danish costumes and horse-drawn wagons. Along with an enchanting marketplace and a variety of engaging activities.
On the other hand, a visit in December promises an authentic Danish-style Christmas experience. Amidst the picturesque setting, you’ll encounter an abundance of carolers spreading holiday cheer, sample delightful holiday-themed treats, and have the chance to take part in the joyful Julefest events, including the festive Tree Lighting and Parade.

Moreover, the hotel provides a convenient parking lot, allowing guests to explore Solvang on foot with ease.
For those seeking a more luxurious experience, Hotel Corque comes highly recommended for couples. It is situated next to the Vintage Motorcycle Museum. This hotel is an ideal choice for visitors planning to explore the museum and enjoy a high-end stay. Additionally, The Landsby Hotel boasts one of the best locations in the village. Its central position makes it incredibly convenient for guests to explore the nearby attractions.
Finally, when you’re planning your trip, double-check the museum’s opening hours. Some museums are closed on specific days like Tuesdays and Wednesdays. So, it’s a good idea to confirm these details beforehand to make the most of your visit.
